Yoppara Navi Privacy Policy

Yoppara Navi ("the App") is an iOS app that watches over users on their way home. The App handles only the minimum information needed for that purpose and stores no personally identifying information on our servers.

1. Information stored only on your device

The following is stored on your device by default. When Watch Mail is used, contact information and message content required for delivery pass through Supabase Edge Functions and Resend.

• Your home address and location
• The name, phone number, and email address of your emergency contact
• Your display name
• Trip history (date, distance, duration)
• Notification settings

Deleting the App removes all of this from your device.

2. Use of location data

• Location is used only while route guidance is running, to detect departure from your route. It stops when guidance ends.
• Background location is used so monitoring continues after you close the screen.
• Location history is never stored on our servers.

3. Information sent by Watch Mail (paid feature)

When the paid "Watch Mail" feature is enabled, the App automatically emails your registered contact once you move farther from your route than the distance you configured. The email contains your display name, a map link to your location at that moment, the time of the reading, and your distance from the route.

To send it, your contact's email address and name, along with the message body and map link, pass through our server (Supabase Edge Functions). This information passes through Supabase Edge Functions for delivery. Recipient addresses and message bodies are retained in Resend sending logs according to Resend's terms and privacy policy; they are not stored in our database.

4. Information stored on our servers

To prevent the service from being abused to send spam, we store only what is required for rate limiting: a salted SHA-256 hash of the sender's IP address, a salted SHA-256 hash of the RevenueCat user ID, whether the send was automatic or manual, the number of recipients, and the timestamp. Neither hash can be reversed.

Email addresses, names, and location data are never stored. These records are automatically deleted daily once they are older than 24 hours.

5. Third-party services

Resend delivers the emails. Recipient addresses and message bodies (including the map link) are sent to Resend and retained in their sending logs for a limited period (30 days under our current plan). This is inherent to the service and we cannot shorten it. See the Resend Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat manages subscription status using an anonymous user ID. No names or email addresses are sent to RevenueCat. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Supabase hosts the email-sending function and the rate-limiting records described in section 4. See the Supabase Privacy Policy.

Apple processes in-app purchases. We never receive your payment details.

6. Maps

Route search and map display use Apple MapKit. Location handling follows Apple's privacy policy.

7. Deleting your data

• On-device data is removed when you delete the App.
• Server records are deleted automatically after 24 hours, as described in section 4.
• To request deletion of Resend sending logs, contact us at the address below.

8. Children

The App is intended to help adults get home after drinking and is not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the last-updated date. Significant changes will also be announced in the App.
